Raiders To Start Offseason Workout Program - Oakland Raiders Blo












What offseason? The Raiders begin their nine-week, three-phase offseason workout program this week with the strength and conditioning program starting Tuesday at the teams compound in Alameda, Calif. Phase 1, we have the first two weeks for strength and conditioning and [read] meetings only, first-year strength and conditioning coach John Grieco told Raiders.com. Basically were going to utilize those two (weeks) to evaluate where everybody is and evaluate where each guy needs to start from. We want to get everybody back in the swing of things, doing things how we do them here and get ourselves ready for weeks 3, 4 and 5. Grieco, Oaklands assistant strength and conditioning coach the past two years under the since-retired Al Miller, was referring to the second phase. Phase 2 is on-field workouts with coaches, which lasts for three weeks.
